Switching weights takes seconds. They come with holders that are sturdy plastic. I had my first workout with them and was so pleased. They seem to not have the problems that bowflex and powerblocks do (cheap construction, difficulty changing weights, and bad grips). I would recommend these to anyone who wants a pair of adjustable dumbbells. They are way less expensive than the other 2 brands as well (and I got free shipping on mine too).
